THE MEDIA NEWS TEAM WORKSHOPS

We can tailor a workshop for your students, covering the topics you require within a timeframe which best suits your class.

A basic media overview is also available and an excellent way to begin your Media Studies program.

• The BASIC WORKSHOP is 90 minutes and may cover topics such as journalism, photography, advertising and technology and includes hands-on work and teacher resources with follow-up classroom activities.

            Cost per child is $8.00* (min 30 students or payment of $240)

• The EXTENDED WORKSHOP is 2 hours and covers all of the topics from the basic workshop with added topics such as recycling, history of print, extra student activities and includes teacher resources.  

            Cost per child is $12.00* (min 30 students or payment of $360)

• We can also arrange a 4-hour MEDIA DAY. This includes all the subjects outlined above, particularly focusing on the topics of your choice. We will conduct hands- on activities that will extend the students even further. This workshop may be for 2 hours before recess and 2 hours after lunch, or whatever timeframe best suits your class. We also include teacher resources for further classroom studies.

            Cost per child is $25* (min 30 students or payment of $750)

Workshops can also be based on specific units of work being completed

in different Curriculum areas.

ORGANISING YOUR MEDIA WORKSHOPS

• Workshops for different Stages of learning can be accommodated on the same day at a special rate. The maximum number of students for each workshop is 60, so why not combine, for example, Stage 2 students for one workshop and then combine Stage 3 students for a second workshop on the same day?

• Discounts apply when booking more than one workshop in your school for the same day.
• Basic Workshop costs $7* per child, the Extended workshop costs $10* per child.
