INTRODUCING
THE MEDIA NEWS TEAM
The Media News Team is a new concept aimed at enhancing your students knowledge about the media. Our small team will come into your classroom and demystify the world of newspapers, radio, television and the internet. We will show you how media works.
In effect we can provide you and your students with a hands-on insight into newsrooms, the world of advertising and marketing, and finally on to print production. You choose the topics which best suit your class.
Our workshops have been designed to incorporate the Board of Studies NSW Syllabus Outcomes for stages 2, 3 & 4 in various Curriculum areas. We are fully authorised by the NSW Department of Education and Training Performances for Schools, are affordable and easy.

We are a highly experienced team led by a qualified teacher with a proven track record in the corporate world. For more than a decade we conducted educational Tours and Activity Sessions for Fairfax newspapers in their newsrooms and printing plant. Hundreds of schools and teachers will vouch for the value of our program, both for content and presentation, as we hosted over 6000 visitors each year. These services, however, are no longer available.
Media is a complex and often bewildering subject for students and teachers alike and yet it is vital that we all understand it from a young age. Our program helps students learn how to understand and use newspapers, TV, radio and the internet and develop a critical thought process about what they hear, see and read in the news.
